How long is a piece of string?

Well it has been a year since we embarked upon this return tour to the ROK. Mid to late February 2010 was when we arrived, and now as I look on my new flip calendar recently provided by the school, I realise its that time again.

I am at school preparing to teach my last days at this school and move forward to another job. Time moves along, things change, and for the most part everything works out.  I am excited about the coming challenges that I will face in my new school, and I will try to be better than before.

I am also going to miss the little rascals I have dealt with each day for the past year, as each one of them, in their own mischievous way has a spark. Something that makes them funny, interesting, curious, unique.

I was just thinking about this, and the saying "how long is a piece of string?" As long as you want it to be.  So its time for this piece to end and another to begin.

running and enjoying married life. aka long time no blog 2

hi folks. no pictures this time (well maybe 1 or 2). I just wanted to say that we have had three or four months off basically everything since October when we got married. we have just been enjoying each other's company and chillin out. I had the first real break from martial arts since I was about 14 and got to reset the brain. I have been back to a few classes since the start of Feb '11 and have thoroughly enjoyed learning that a punch is a punch and a kick is a kick. fantastic stuff.

I have has a very long break from work, (effectively since 1.1.11 and until this morning (7.2.11) and but unfortunately Miyoung had only one short week off and this was not within the time i had off, so we stayed local and just hung out here in the ROK (thats Republic of Korea if you didn't know).

And during that time I have done a couple of Hash House Harrier runs a week, and been to the gym a few times, but essentially have just been a homebody. Miyoung has been busy at her kindy keeping the little homies in check .

We had the good luck to have been invited to a korean airbase and saw the black hawks up close. A couple of the Seoul Hash fellas are heli pilots and were more than happy to let miyoung and I have a look. was choice as. haha..

I climbed a mountain the other week too. it is called buramsan and it just north of my apartment. i can actually see it from my bedroom. So on morning i decided that it was about time to get my ass up to the top of the hill. Was a bit hard but was cool.

Thats about all.

I wont mention much about the wedding, cos the pics and chat was all over facebook and most people have seen them. chuck a comment on if you want to see some pics.

We have been to a few parties and on that sticks out as worthy of a mention is SANTACON. This was the night we both dressed up as santas and went out on the rantan woth about 400 other santas. cool time.
