We are still here. just been doin stuff.

Hi everyone.
It is a hot day today, which means the seasons have finally changed from icy cold to super hot. It has been about a year since I posted anything on here, so I will give you a rundown of a few things that have come, and gone in the time.

I suppose I shall start with us.

Miyoung and I are working through the process of pregnancy. this is a very relieving, and also challenging time for us. We had a very difficult time last year, and this is a blessing for us. Miyoung is doing well, and we are happy and getting things done. A very positive vibe going on here with the year of the snake kicking in. I have been a crazed online shopping fiend. I have purchased cribs, nappies (diapers for you North American folk), and a bunch of other stuff. I even joined a Korean buy, sell swap group to see what goodies I could get my mitts on.

haha. And the girls in there seem to think its cool.

Miyoung has been a real trooper. She has been so determined to keep going and is always surprising me with her drive and willingness to persevere. I suspect she will slow down a little as we near the due date. But we shall see, each day as it comes.

Then, the other main thing that we have been doing is working. I am still working at Younghoon Elementary School, although I am now teaching Grade 3. I am having such a good time with the crew I work with, and really enjoy my class.

I have continued to run with the SEOUL HASH HOUSE HARRIERS, and this has been keeping me honest. I have had the displeasure of injury lately, and have not actually" run" any trails for some time. Almost 3 months in fact. The doctor reckons it is metatarsalgia. This just means pain of the ball of the foot. Like most foot injurioes he said, " no running, and keep of the foot" Yeah right. Like I can sit down all day and teach from my chair........ Hey. I might give that a go......

Nah. Jokes.

We have also been to see some nice places in the last wee while.

have a look at some of the pics.

How long is a piece of string?

Well it has been a year since we embarked upon this return tour to the ROK. Mid to late February 2010 was when we arrived, and now as I look on my new flip calendar recently provided by the school, I realise its that time again.

I am at school preparing to teach my last days at this school and move forward to another job. Time moves along, things change, and for the most part everything works out.  I am excited about the coming challenges that I will face in my new school, and I will try to be better than before.

I am also going to miss the little rascals I have dealt with each day for the past year, as each one of them, in their own mischievous way has a spark. Something that makes them funny, interesting, curious, unique.

I was just thinking about this, and the saying "how long is a piece of string?" As long as you want it to be.  So its time for this piece to end and another to begin.
